Paraphrasing Shakespeare, we aren’t here to praise Caesar—but for Julius Cheeser, well, that’s a holey different story (get it, holey like cheese?).
“My pets have always had two names, usually something to do with food!” says Nationwide member Adrianne G. “I didn’t know I was adopting him at the time—a friend was fostering him—so I threw out that I always liked the name Jules. When we tried to think of a food name for fun, someone threw out Cheese because he is a rat. And I thought Julius Cheeser!”
While human Caesar spent years conquering Gaul, Julius Cheeser is more inclined to campaign for the hearts of anyone who visits him. “Julius is such a flirt,” Adrianne says. “All he wants to do is kiss everyone. Not only has he never bitten anyone, but he also starts licking every person who says ‘hi’ to him. It’s kind of like having a Labrador that can fit in your pocket!”
“Veterinary bills for rats can build up quickly because they age so quickly,” Adrianne says. She wanted to make sure Julius can always get care befitting a little emperor, so she got him Nationwide pet insurance. “Julius Cheeser is having such a wonderful life, thanks to Nationwide helping us with his visits to the hospital.”
