“Schmeagle Vonsqueaklebits is the heir to the Vonsqueaklebits family throne,” says Nationwide member Michael W. “He succeeds our previous pet, the great Chihuahua mix Lulu Vonsqueaklebits. As Schmeagle awaits his official ascension to the throne, he enjoys being a little gremlin and the occasional zoomies around the apartment.”
Like most nobility, Schmeagle isn’t without his idiosyncratic tastes. “He frequently gets so excited to go on walks that he will run backwards,” Michael says. “This causes him to run into door frames and furniture because he can’t see where he's going.”
It comes as no surprise that the Vonsqueaklebits heir also has interesting views on proper table etiquette. “He is very particular about where he eats his food,” Michael says. “The nice dog bowl setup on the kitchen floor? No, not satisfactory. Instead, he carries 6 individual pieces of food in his mouth over to the middle of the carpet in front of the TV, and then eats them one at a time over the course of the next 30 minutes.”
“When we got Schmeagle Vonsqueaklebits, we did a lot of [pet insurance] research, comparing premiums and coverage but also customer reviews,” Michael remembers. “For wide coverage of conditions—combined with good customer reviews—Nationwide had the best policies that fit what we wanted.”
