A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. One pet family adopted a Maine coon cat and gave him a Star Wars-themed name that’s perfectly wacky. Meet Lando Catrissian.
“We have a Star Wars theme for our cats,” says Nationwide member Emma G. “[Including] my oldest cat, Wookie, our tabby, Obi Wan Catnobi and now Lando. We had a Star Wars spree to find names that would be turned into cat names the best! Lando won out! Moff Kittian was runner up.”
Emma soon learned that Lando was no mere supporting character in the household—in fact, he knew just how to take center stage. “He is the spunkiest boy I’ve ever owned!” she says. “He yowls for us when we’re not within sight.”
Like his namesake intergalactic rogue, Lando is cool and comfortable in unusual situations. In fact, his spaceship of choice is the family’s bathtub. “The tub is his favorite spot, and he does not like being locked out of the bathroom! And he parkours like nothing I’ve seen!”
When it comes to protecting Lando from the Dark Side, Emma doesn’t just rely on the force—she also got Nationwide pet insurance for her beloved feline friend. “He’s got a special place in our heart and we want to protect him with the best!”
