“Tony came to me and my husband as a foster with the name ‘Scarface,’” says Alenna S., Nationwide member and pet parent to this wackily named mixed domestic shorthair cat named Tony Baloney. “He was such a silly guy. We figured his former home must have just loved that movie, because he was certainly no Tony Montana—but he definitely was a Tony Baloney.”
Tony’s new family soon learned that he was an extra creative and snuggly napper. “He will crawl on top of me and then slowly melt into the divot between my body and the back of the sofa. He'll also snuggle against my side on his back and sprawl out like a person. I've never had a cat that naps so hard.”
When he’s not snoozing, Tony loves to stay active. Alenna adds, “He has a great imagination. He constantly tries to lead me to his favorite play spots … until I follow him to where he wants to go, which is often to his big cat scratcher, where he catches feather toys that I toss to him like he's King Kong on the Empire State building.”
When it comes to getting the veterinary care Tony needs, Alenna knows pet insurance is no baloney. That’s why she got Nationwide to protect her little Tony. “Health care is needed for people and pets alike,” Alenna adds. “So, it makes sense to have a safety net for unexpected issues for furry family members, too.”
