While many football analysts and prognosticators are focusing on how the cold East Coast weather will may impact this Sunday’s Big Game, not much attention has been paid to the role pet names could play in determining the winner of Super Bowl XLVIII. Among the notable pet monikers in VPI’s database that were most likely inspired by Broncos and Seahawks players, past and present, are 15 pooches named “Elway,” likely named after the Broncos legendary quarterback and one “Largent,” a Shar-Pei from Kirkland, Wash., likely named after the Seahawks Hall of Fame wide receiver.
