What do the common pet monikers “Buster” and “Sparky” have to do with who will win this year’s World Series? Probably not much, actually, but that didn’t stop VPI from diving into its database to make a prediction on this year’s match up.
For the first time, the company analyzed its database to determine which World Series team has the most pet names associated with it. While the Detroit Tigers might be the favorites to win the World Series in the eyes of odds makers in Las Vegas, according to VPI’s database of more than 485,000 insured pets, the San Francisco Giants will triumph in this year’s Fall Classic.
