VPI Raises $23,000 for the Animal Cancer Foundation at the Sixth Annual Long Beach VPI K9K
The Shoreline Village Lighthouse & Peninsula was jam-packed with pet owners and their furry, four-legged friends as more than four hundred people came out for the sixth annual Long Beach VPI K9K Pet Cancer Awareness Walk on Sunday, Nov. 11. VPI Pet Insurance hosted the 3K (1.8 miles) walk and raised more than $23,000 to benefit the Animal Cancer Foundation (ACF), a non-profit organization that strives to advance the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer. VPI has now raised more than $130,000 to benefit the ACF.

Among the participants at the Long Beach VPI K9K Pet Cancer Awareness Walk was E! News’ Correspondent, Ashlan Gorse. Gorse and her dog, Aurora, who was diagnosed with cancer just over a year ago, joined VPI to create awareness and stress the importance of early cancer detection.
VPI will continue its promotion of pet cancer awareness and research through the remainder of the month, and in addition to the funds raised on Sunday, VPI will donate $1 to the Animal Cancer Foundation for each new Facebook “Like” in November, up to $20,000.
