Pet Cancer Detection Tips
According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, approximately one in four pets will develop a tumor of some kind in his lifetime. Fortunately, advancements in veterinary technology have made treatment options like surgery, radiation and chemotherapy available to our companion animals. While these treatments are often successful, one of the most important things pet parents can do to combat this disease is to catch it early.
Biannual check-ups are critical for early detection, as routine wellness exams and blood screenings often identify cancer in its early stages, when it is the most responsive to treatment.
