Long Beach VPI K9K Attracts Hundreds of People, Pooches and Raises $16,000 for the Animal Cancer Foundation

For the seventh straight year, the Shoreline Village Lighthouse & Peninsula in Long Beach was filled with hundreds of pet owners and their furry friends who came out for the VPI K9K Pet Cancer Awareness Walk on Saturday, Nov. 9. VPI hosted the 3K (1.8 miles) walk and raised $16,000 to benefit the Animal Cancer Foundation (ACF), a non-profit organization that strives to advance the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer. VPI has now raised more than $175,000 to benefit the ACF.

In addition to the funds raised at the Long Beach VPI K9K, VPI will donate $5 to the ACF, up to $10,000, for every photo, story or statistic shared on TwitterInstagram and Facebook using #CurePetCancer.
