Kittens Rescued After Being Dumped in Plastic Grocery Bag

Today I was working at my desk when I heard the sounds of kittens coming from the cubicle next to mine. My first thought was “It must be bring your cat to work day” which we do on a regular basis here at VPI. Unfortunately, it turns out that wasn’t the case.

The son of one of our employees works at a nearby park and yesterday he stepped outside and heard some kittens crying. He looked and found three kittens stuffed in a plastic grocery bag and left in a dumpster. The bag was tied at the top and the white kitten was tangled in the top trying to get out. The son saw how young they were and called his mom right away who came over to help. The smallest of the bunch was not moving or making any noise but after being fed and given a little TLC he is doing well now.

Today the kittens are being given the 5-star treatment at the office. They are getting regular bottle feedings from volunteers wanting to help out and are even getting to join in on a few company meetings. These little guys will continue to join us in the office during the day until we can find a good home for them.

As long as they are around we’ll be sure to keep the cute kitten videos and photos coming!
