VPI's Pet Cancer Awareness Campaign
A National Education and Fund-Raising Effort
In 2010, VPI received more than 71,000 claims for cancer diagnosis and treatment in pets - the No. 1 disease-related killer of dogs and cats.
To promote pet cancer awareness and research, VPI hosts two philanthropic K9K Pet Cancer Awareness Walks each year: one in Denver, Colo., and a second in Long Beach, Calif.
The 5th Annual Long Beach K9K Pet Cancer Awareness Walk will take place November 12th and raise funds for the Animal Cancer Foundation (ACF), a non-profit organization that strives to advance the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer in pets and people.
The Long Beach VPI K9K Pet Cancer Awareness Walk – November 12, 2011
Veterinary Pet Insurance is leading the charge in raising pet cancer awareness with a fun-filled 3K (1.8 miles) walk for both people and their pets. The Long Beach K9K Pet Cancer Awareness Walk carries participants around Rainbow Harbor and Shoreline village in Long Beach, with spectacular views of the Queen Mary.
