Yucky

yucky

When Jenny Chou of Carson, Calif., was a little girl, she knew exactly what she wanted to name her future kids. As she got older (and arguably wiser) she realized that perhaps the names “Yucky” and “Yummy” were better suited for her four-legged children. So when she and boyfriend Bill Grisham decided to welcome three boxer puppies into their home, Jenny was ready to bestow her long-favored monikers unto two of them.

But how would they decide which got to be Yummy and which would be stuck with Yucky? Jenny explained, “Yucky was going to be the boy, of course!” Though she was set on the names, Bill wasn’t exactly sold. “I definitely didn’t want to name a dog Yucky, but it’s grown on me over time,” said Bill. “People get a kick out of it and they absolutely love him.”

According to both Jenny and Bill, their boxer isn’t yucky at all. “He’s actually a really handsome dog,” said Jenny. “He’s smart and lovable too. He’s 90 pounds, but he still thinks he’s a lap dog.” There is no doubt that Jenny and Bill appreciate the unique characteristics of each of their pets and strongly believe in having VPI Pet Insurance for all of them. “You just can’t beat VPI, especially with everything it covers,” said Bill. “I know that boxers are a delicate breed and I also know what veterinary bills can cost, so we made sure we got pet insurance. We’ve seen nothing but the best from VPI and we’re happy to have it.”
