Murderface
While some pets are named for their appearance or personality, Murderface is surely an exception to the rule. The silver Scottish fold is anything but fierce, and owner Heidi Coluzzi loves the irony. "I wanted something edgy because he was so cute," said Heidi, who also tried shark-inspired names like "Mako" and "Tiger" for the cat. A fan of metal music and the Adult Swim cartoon "Metalocalypse," Heidi ultimately settled on Murderface after a character on the show.
"Some of my friends told me flat out that they didn't like it, but it gets a good laugh from most," said Heidi. "When people ask how he got his name, I joke that it's because his face is so adorable, it'll kill you." Murderface may have a tough-guy name, but Heidi still does everything she can to protect him, which is why she recommends getting health insurance. "I had a friend who went through a lot with her pet, so I knew I wanted pet insurance long before I ever got Murderface," said Heidi. "I haven't had to use it other than for routine stuff, but I like knowing I have it, just in case."
