Leo Pet Horoscope
SYMBOL: The Lion
The Leo sun sign is considered one of the most demanding and dominating, and, henceforth, Leo pets tend to be the most expressive as well as immensely outgoing. Leo pets may also be perceived as imposing — putting on a “tough” attitude when around fellow pets and human friends. However, these pets are also very loveable, courageous and very disciplined.
Seasons and Your Sun Sign
Winter : Your Leo pet may go into “work” mode during the winter months, finding ways to keep busy inside and outside the house. This may be the perfect time to take Leo dogs to obedience, training or agility classes. With a feisty Mars storming through Leo’s sign, pets will become very expressive. Focus your Leo pet’s energies on mentally-stimulating activities.
Spring: Leo pets may travel this season, particularly in April or May. If this is the case, prepare ahead of time: pack extra supplies, a pet emergency kit and a favorite toy. Don’t overwhelm your Leo pet with too many activities — it could end up burning out his energy and creating some unnecessary anxiety.
Summer: Having fun in the sun is one of a Leo pet’s favorite things to do. A zest for life causes Leo pets to gravitate toward the sun — whether it be a dog or cat stretched out in the yard or a widow, or an avian or exotic spending more time in his habitat closest to the warm sunlight. Be sure to keep away any children or other pets who may display toxic behavior. Leo pets will not respond well. (Tip: Protect your Leo dogs with sunscreen before hitting the beach or taking extended walks during the day. Ask your vet for a recommendation before buying a particular sunscreen product.)
Fall: With the sun and Saturn spiraling through Libra in the fall, Leo pets may become more vocal and communicative. Yet, these demanding companions may feel ignored by their counterparts, which could lead to incessant nudging, pawing, tapping, clawing and vocalizing their impatience. Keep these pets active and busy, as it will help satisfy their need for attention.
Animal Ruled by Leo: Felines
Big cats and small cats are fearless animals with plenty of pride. Wild cats are natural leaders as is the King of the Jungle. But all cats from tigers to domestic Siamese can roar or hiss if something ruffles their fur. Cats can be loners but they can also be affectionate when their needs must be met, whether it’s finding food or a mate.
Pet-Loving Celebrities
Leo Pete Sampras is a successful tennis player with numerous Wimbledon championships under his belt. He owns a Labrador retriever, who is a member of the AKC Sporting Group. Other Celeb Pet Lovers: Bill Clinton, Martha Stewart.
