Classic-Inspired Toys Now Available for Dogs

Pet owners may do a double-take the next time they’re perusing the dog toy aisle at PetSmart.

That Fisher-Price^® toy hanging on display may look like the Chatter Telephone^® you played with as a child, but this time it has been transformed for your dog.

That’s right: Fisher-Price has produced a line of classic-inspired toys for your pooch. Available exclusively at PetSmart stores this month, these whimsical toys come in a variety of shapes, sizes and textures for both large and small dogs.

Just as you may use Fisher-Price toys with your children, these new pet-safe toys may be used to help train your dog's behavior, whether you have a puppy or a senior canine at home.

Fisher-Price Creates Nostalgia for Pet Owners

“Fisher-Price toys have entertained families for the past 80 years,” says Andrew Chi, director of Fisher-Price Consumer Products. “Many families already consider pets to be part of the family, so it was a natural extension for us to develop a line of pet toys inspired by our beloved classics.”

An added bonus for dogs: many of the toys are peanut-butter scented. Many of the new toys also feature a dog’s favorite perks — ropes to tug and pull and plenty of squeaks.

“We are thrilled to help extend the Fisher-Price brand with which children and parents already have an emotional connection — but now with a unique twist,” says Matt McAdam, vice president of Merchandising Hardgoods.

“We know pet parents and their pets are going to love these new toys and we’re excited about being the first to bring them to market.”

Paw-cket Treats Radio Dog Toy™
