Currently, we have 11 veterinarians and more than 60 veterinary technicians working for the company. It is important to VPI to hire and maintain a workforce with such strong knowledge of veterinary medicine because it allows us to design effective products, accurately process claims and provide sufficient support to veterinary clinics.
I’ve asked our Chief Veterinary Medical Officer, Dr. Carol McConnell, to explain further why VPI hires so many veterinary staff.

Our claims processors must possess a high level of veterinary knowledge to adequately handle these claims and ensure they are paid promptly and accurately.

Helping Educate Veterinary Hospital Staff
Occasionally, your veterinarian or veterinary hospital staff member may need assistance in understanding an aspect of our policy, from reimbursement practices to coding of complex medical conditions. When these situations arrive, veterinary professionals have the ability to call our dedicated Veterinary Services team, all of whom are veterinary technicians and experts in VPI’s policies.
