A Policyholder’s Tail: All in the Family
For policyholder Christine K., insuring her dog Aspen was an obvious choice. So when her brother-in-law, John H., was planning to get a new puppy, Christine encouraged him to sign up for coverage from VPI. And it’s a good thing she did, since John was able to use his VPI policy from day one with puppy Shayna!
Here’s what Christine had to say:
When we heard about VPI Pet Insurance, we decided that it would be a great idea. Sally, our older dog, had just passed away, so we knew from having her at the vet that the bills could be expensive.
We adopted Aspen from Labs for Rescue. We knew she was for us as soon as we saw her. I don’t know how we could be so lucky to find her. She was just what we needed after losing Sally. She helped us to move on.
As soon as we got Aspen, we got VPI Pet Insurance. We were very happy we did, because it turns out that she loves to eat rocks. Fortunately, she has only had to go to the vet once, but the bill would have been a lot more if we did not have the insurance. VPI makes it not as scary to have to take your pet to the vet.
When my sister-in-law and her husband got a new puppy, I told them right away about VPI. They got it before they even picked up the puppy. They have already had to use their policy and are very thankful that we told them about it and they signed up for it. Whenever I hear of someone getting a new dog, I always tell them to get VPI Pet Insurance. It will save you money even if you only use it for the yearly exams, but as pet owners, we all know that nine times out of 10, your pet will eventually have to go to the vet for something more than just a checkup.
In my opinion, getting VPI Pet Insurance for a pet—your love—is a no-brainer.
And here’s what John says about VPI:
My sister-in-law Christine recommended VPI Pet Insurance to me. It’s amazing how her young son sometimes chooses not to remember simple requests from his mother, but he knows their dog Aspen's VPI number by heart.
Christine recommended VPI because they were very fast in sending reimbursements. I have found that to be true as well. One smart thing that I did before bringing our new puppy Shayna home was to sign up for the insurance ahead of time so that her initial vet visit would be covered. Customer Care was very thorough and friendly. I also like the easy claim form that is pre-filled and can be faxed over for reimbursement.
I have been very happy with VPI and would encourage other pet owners to sign up for a policy!
P.S. Shih Tzus rule!
